Who We Are ما چه کسانی هستیم

The Victoria Iranian-Persian Cultural Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving Iranian-Persian culture, heritage, and traditions in Victoria, British Columbia. Founded in 1995, our society has been serving the Iranian-Canadian community for over 25 years. انجمن فرهنگی ایرانیان ویکتوریا یک سازمان غیرانتفاعی است که به ترویج و حفظ فرهنگ، میراث و سنت‌های ایرانی-فارسی در ویکتوریا، بریتیش کلمبیا اختصاص دارد. این انجمن که در سال ۱۹۹۵ تأسیس شده، برای بیش از ۲۵ سال در خدمت جامعه ایرانی-کانادایی بوده است.

We organize cultural events, educational programs, and social gatherings that bring together people of all backgrounds to celebrate the rich heritage of Iran. Our goal is to create a bridge between generations and cultures, fostering understanding and appreciation of Iranian-Persian traditions. ما رویدادهای فرهنگی، برنامه‌های آموزشی و گردهمایی‌های اجتماعی را سازماندهی می‌کنیم که افراد با پیشینه‌های مختلف را برای جشن گرفتن میراث غنی ایران گرد هم می‌آورد. هدف ما ایجاد پلی بین نسل‌ها و فرهنگ‌ها است و درک و قدردانی از سنت‌های ایرانی-فارسی را تقویت می‌کنیم.

Our History تاریخچه انجمن

The Victoria Iranian-Persian Cultural Society was founded in 1995 by a small group of Iranian-Canadians who recognized the need to preserve and promote their cultural heritage in their new home. What began as informal gatherings in community members' homes soon grew into a registered non-profit organization dedicated to serving the Iranian-Canadian community in Victoria. انجمن فرهنگی ایرانیان ویکتوریا در سال ۱۹۹۵ توسط گروه کوچکی از ایرانیان-کانادایی تأسیس شد که نیاز به حفظ و ترویج میراث فرهنگی خود در خانه جدیدشان را تشخیص دادند. آنچه با گردهمایی‌های غیررسمی در خانه‌های اعضای جامعه آغاز شد، به زودی به یک سازمان غیرانتفاعی ثبت شده تبدیل شد که به خدمت به جامعه ایرانی-کانادایی در ویکتوریا اختصاص داشت.

Over the years, our society has grown from a handful of members to over 500 families. We have organized countless cultural events, educational programs, and social gatherings that have enriched the lives of Iranian-Canadians in Victoria and contributed to the multicultural landscape of the city. در طول سال‌ها، انجمن ما از تعداد انگشت شماری از اعضا به بیش از ۵۰۰ خانواده رشد کرده است. ما رویدادهای فرهنگی بی‌شماری، برنامه‌های آموزشی و گردهمایی‌های اجتماعی را سازماندهی کرده‌ایم که زندگی ایرانیان-کانادایی را در ویکتوریا غنی کرده و به چشم‌انداز چندفرهنگی شهر کمک کرده است.

As a cultural organization serving the Iranian-Canadian community in Victoria, we take our responsibilities seriously. We are committed to preserving Iranian-Persian cultural traditions, including music, dance, literature, art, and celebrations. Community Building ساخت جامعه

We create spaces for Iranian-Canadians to connect, support one another, and build a strong community. Education آموزش

We provide educational opportunities for both Iranian-Canadians and the wider community to learn about Iranian-Persian history, culture, and contributions to world civilization. This includes language classes, workshops, lectures, and cultural exhibitions. ما فرصت‌های آموزشی را برای هم ایرانیان-کانادایی و هم جامعه گسترده‌تر برای یادگیری در مورد تاریخ، فرهنگ و مشارکت‌های ایرانی-فارسی در تمدن جهانی فراهم می‌کنیم. این شامل کلاس‌های زبان، کارگاه‌ها، سخنرانی‌ها و نمایشگاه‌های فرهنگی است.

Cultural Exchange تبادل فرهنگی

We promote cultural exchange by sharing Iranian-Persian culture with the broader community of Victoria. Through public events, partnerships with other cultural organizations, and educational outreach, we foster understanding and appreciation of our culture among all Canadians. ما با به اشتراک گذاشتن فرهنگ ایرانی-فارسی با جامعه گسترده‌تر ویکتوریا، تبادل فرهنگی را ترویج می‌کنیم. از طریق رویدادهای عمومی، همکاری با سایر سازمان‌های فرهنگی و فعالیت‌های آموزشی، درک و قدردانی از فرهنگ خود را در میان همه کانادایی‌ها تقویت می‌کنیم.

Support for Newcomers حمایت از تازه‌واردان

We provide support and resources for Iranian newcomers to Victoria, helping them settle into their new community and connect with others who share their cultural background. This includes orientation sessions, language support, and social integration activities. ما حمایت و منابعی را برای ایرانیان تازه‌وارد به ویکتوریا فراهم می‌کنیم، به آنها کمک می‌کنیم در جامعه جدید خود مستقر شوند و با دیگرانی که پیشینه فرهنگی مشترکی دارند ارتباط برقرار کنند. این شامل جلسات توجیهی، حمایت زبانی و فعالیت‌های ادغام اجتماعی است.

We advocate for the interests and needs of the Iranian-Canadian community at the municipal and provincial levels. Constitution & Bylaws اساسنامه و آیین‌نامه

The Victoria Iranian-Persian Cultural Society operates under a formal constitution and bylaws that govern our structure, operations, and decision-making processes. These documents ensure transparency, accountability, and democratic governance within our organization. انجمن فرهنگی ایرانیان ویکتوریا تحت یک اساسنامه و آیین‌نامه رسمی عمل می‌کند که ساختار، عملیات و فرآیندهای تصمیم‌گیری ما را اداره می‌کند. این اسناد شفافیت، پاسخگویی و حکمرانی دموکراتیک را در سازمان ما تضمین می‌کنند.

Section 1.1: The name of the organization shall be the Victoria Iranian-Persian Cultural Society, hereinafter referred to as "the Society." بخش ۱.۱: نام سازمان انجمن فرهنگی ایرانیان ویکتوریا خواهد بود که در ادامه "انجمن" نامیده می‌شود.

Section 1.2: The Society is a non-profit organization established to promote and preserve Iranian-Persian culture in Victoria, British Columbia, and to foster cultural exchange and understanding among all communities. بخش ۱.۲: انجمن یک سازمان غیرانتفاعی است که برای ترویج و حفظ فرهنگ ایرانی-فارسی در ویکتوریا، بریتیش کلمبیا، و برای تقویت تبادل فرهنگی و درک در میان همه جوامع تأسیس شده است.

Section 2.1: Membership in the Society is open to all individuals aged 18 and over who support the objectives of the Society, regardless of their ethnic or cultural background. بخش ۲.۱: عضویت در انجمن برای همه افراد ۱۸ سال به بالا که از اهداف انجمن حمایت می‌کنند، صرف‌نظر از پیشینه قومی یا فرهنگی آنها، باز است.

Section 2.2: Membership categories shall include Regular Members, Associate Members, and Honorary Members, with rights and privileges as specified in the bylaws. بخش ۲.۲: دسته‌های عضویت شامل اعضای عادی، اعضای وابسته و اعضای افتخاری خواهد بود، با حقوق و امتیازات مشخص شده در آیین‌نامه.

Section 2.3: Annual membership dues shall be determined by the Board of Directors and approved by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. بخش ۲.۳: حق عضویت سالانه توسط هیئت مدیره تعیین و توسط اعضا در جلسه عمومی سالانه تأیید خواهد شد.

Section 3.1: The Society shall be governed by a Board of Directors consisting of no fewer than seven (7) and no more than eleven (11) members elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting. بخش ۳.۱: انجمن توسط هیئت مدیره‌ای متشکل از حداقل هفت (۷) و حداکثر یازده (۱۱) عضو که توسط اعضا در جلسه عمومی سالانه انتخاب می‌شوند، اداره خواهد شد.

Section 3.2: The Board of Directors shall include a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and at least three (3) Directors at Large. بخش ۳.۲: هیئت مدیره شامل یک رئیس، معاون رئیس، دبیر، خزانه‌دار و حداقل سه (۳) مدیر عمومی خواهد بود.

Section 3.3: Directors shall be elected for a two-year term, with approximately half of the Board elected each year to ensure continuity. بخش ۳.۳: مدیران برای یک دوره دو ساله انتخاب خواهند شد، با تقریباً نیمی از هیئت هر سال انتخاب می‌شوند تا تداوم تضمین شود.

Section 4.1: The Annual General Meeting of the Society shall be held within three months of the end of the fiscal year, at a time and place determined by the Board of Directors. بخش ۴.۱: جلسه عمومی سالانه انجمن ظرف سه ماه پس از پایان سال مالی، در زمان و مکانی که توسط هیئت مدیره تعیین شده، برگزار خواهد شد.

Section 4.2: Special meetings may be called by the Board of Directors or upon written request of at least twenty-five percent (25%) of the voting members. بخش ۴.۲: جلسات ویژه ممکن است توسط هیئت مدیره یا با درخواست کتبی حداقل بیست و پنج درصد (۲۵٪) اعضای دارای حق رأی فراخوانی شود.

Section 4.3: Notice of all meetings shall be given to members at least fourteen (14) days prior to the meeting date, specifying the time, place, and agenda. بخش ۴.۳: اطلاعیه تمام جلسات حداقل چهارده (۱۴) روز قبل از تاریخ جلسه به اعضا داده خواهد شد، زمان، مکان و دستور جلسه را مشخص می‌کند.
